Heads up Blinks, are you ready?  K-Pop girlgroup BLACKPINK can't wait to share their personal stories with Blinks around the world via Netflix! Netflix's first K-Pop documentary, BLACKPINK: Light Up the Sky, will air globally on Netflix on October 14. 

Wow, Blinks sure can't wait! This documentary film will tell about the rapidly increasing popularity of female idol group from South Korea, BLACKPINK. 

On the same day, Blackpink members Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, and Rosé will also be Netflix profile icons.

"BLACKPINK: Light Up the Sky - an all-access documentary about one of the world's most popular groups - premieres in your area on October 14 !," Netflix tweeted, September 9. 

"Oh and that’s not all… on October 14, these music icons will also become Netflix profile icons" - Netflix (@netflix) September 9, 2020.

The documentary BLACKPINK: Light Up the Sky will show various recorded interviews with BLACKPINK members which have never been screened before. Of course, this film will show the members from their days as trainees to becoming idols with today's global sensation. 

In this documentary, viewers can witness the first glimpse of their album recording process to their joys and sorrows as a K-pop idol group as well as each member's extraordinary talent. When combined, these talents end up creating BLACKPINK's unique DNA. 

This film will culminate through BLACKPINK's historic performance at the 2019 Coachella Festival, where BLACKPINK became the first female KPop music group to appear on the Coachella stage, so cool! 

BLACKPINK: Light Up the Sky is directed by Caroline Suh, a producer of the 2018 Netflix docu-series Salt Fat Acid Heat and produced by Cara Mones who is also experienced in the documentary field.  

This documentary will bring out honest and raw moments, so that viewers can see BLACKPINK's authentic life. Each member's dedication and painstaking preparation for each hit song will also be presented along with the history-setting appearances and the sold-out arena tour.
